Lecture Hall

The museum is a site for exchange about art and culture. However, the Kunsthalle zu Kiel also opens its doors to events that wish to enhance the ambience of an occasion with the special charm of the place. The Kunsthalle's Lecture Hall has room for over 200 people and is fitted out with presentation equipment. Having much experience in organising events, the Kunsthalle offers its services and assistance in supporting your event, such as helping you find the right caterer.

Study Room

Art on paper is very sensitive to light. Therefore it cannot be on display permanently and only shown for short periods in temporary exhibitions.

So the public can nevertheless access the comprehensive holdings of the Prints and Drawings Collection, the Kunsthalle gives all visitors the opportunity—researchers and otherwise—to come and view artworks by ordering what they wish to see in the Study Room. There the prints and drawings can be viewed at leisure at close hand, unframed and not behind glass.

You too are cordially invited to pay us a visit in the Study Room. Please book in advance:
