The Kunsthalle zu Kiel with works from the Circle of Patrons as a guest at the Gerisch Foundation

Around 55 works from the Kunsthalle's Circle of Patrons are on display at the Herbert Gerisch Foundation in Neumünster this summer.

The Circle of Patrons was founded in 1978 and has been supporting the Kunsthalle ever since, in particular with the acquisition of works of art. Purchases in recent years have included works by Miriam Cahn, Alicja Kwade, Jeppe Hein and Ulrike Ottinger. These works are on permanent loan to the permanent loans to the Kunsthalle collection.

The Circle of Patrons of the Kunsthalle zu Kiel provided important impetus for the founding of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (SHMF), which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2025. The SHMF has been organising concerts at the Gerisch Foundation for many years. With this exhibition, the Kunsthalle is taking up the connection between the Kunsthalle, the Circle of Patrons and the SHMF and is showing works from the collection on a large scale for the first time since the museum closed in September 2023.
