Art in Interreligious Dialogue
Art in interreligious dialogue as a guest at Museumsberg Flensburg
LOVE. Between longing and fulfilment. Positions in art and religions
06. February 2025 / 06:00 PM - 07:30 PM
Art in Interreligious Dialogue is an event format that art historian and mediator Marion Koch has been organising at various museums in northern Germany since 2010 - now the event is taking place in Flensburg for the first time.
Three speakers from different religious traditions and communities in Flensburg have been invited to the museum. They will talk about selected works from the Flensburg collection and the collection of the Kunsthalle zu Kiel, which is currently hosting 12 highlights at the Museumsberg. Among other things, the painting "Love - an everyday story" (1980) by Harald Duwe will give the three speakers an opportunity to engage in a dialogue about love. In conversation, they approach the artwork from their personal perspective and their respective religious traditions.
The audience is invited to join the dialogue.
