Art talk for the blind and visually impaired

Maruša Sagadin: Zwischen Barock und Romanik liegt die Botanik

10. October 2025 / 03:00 PM - 04:30 PM

Almut Rix and Dr Michaela Wilk

For five years now, the Kunsthalle zu Kiel has been offering a special programme for blind and visually impaired people, consistently following the "two-senses principle". This tour also uses precise descriptions and tactile details. Together we explore Maruša Sagadin's installation on the Old Market Square. Between listed glass pavilions from the 1970s, the artist creates a surprising counterpoint to concrete and vacancy. With humorous, organic shapes - from fruits to eyes to fists - she combines architecture and nature to create a sensual space for new perspectives. Voices, descriptions and haptic impressions open up an intense art experience for all visitors.

Admission and participation are free of charge.
