Art without a hall
A programme for blind and visually impaired people
15. August 2026 / 03:00 PM - 05:00 PM
Almut Rix and Barbara Kirsch
Touch, connect, create: A creative approach to assemblage
This workshop focuses on the art form of assemblage. Art historian Almut Rix will begin by giving a brief introduction to the history and development of this unique art form. Artist Barbara Kirsch will then invite participants to get creative themselves and design their own three-dimensional artworks using a variety of materials. Through touching, combining and experimenting, participants will create their own unique material collages. No prior experience is required – the focus is on the joy of creating, sharing ideas and the shared artistic experience.
Participation is free of charge.
Please note! The Kunsthalle is currently undergoing renovation, so the programme will take place opposite at the Seeburg (Düsternbrooker Weg 2, 24105 Kiel). The Kunsthalle has its own workshop room there – access is from the waterfront.
