The specialist library of the Kunsthalle zu Kiel is a public reference library of Kiel University. It contains publications on art and art studies from the 19th century to the present: catalogues and monographs, encyclopaedias and handbooks, journals and special literature as well as specialist books on the holdings of the Graphic Collection.
Opening hours:
The library will be closed from 30 August to 20 September 2023.
New location from 20 September 2023
From this date, the holdings of our library will be located in the Central Library of Kiel University (Leibnizstr. 9).
Special sale
In the foyer of the Kunsthalle we are offering exhibition catalogues, deleted holdings and duplicates of the library for a donation until further notice. The special sale is open during the Kunsthalle's regular opening hours.
