Khaled al Khani
An exhibition of the The Schleswig-Holstein Art Association
16 March to 8 September 2013
Following the launch of the Schleswig-Holstein Kunstverein's exhibition series last year, the Syrian painter Khaled al Khani (*1975) has been invited to occupy a space in the Kunsthalle in 2013.
The artist studied painting in Hama and Damascus. In 2011, he fled into exile in Paris. Khaled al Khani's expressive, figurative painting is shaped by existential experiences he had in his home country.
Freedom is the great theme of this artist. For the exhibition at the Kunsthalle, Khaled al Khani has specially designed a spatial installation.
