Photo requests

Would you like to print works from our collection in your publication?

We are delighted to provide you with digital photographs for a processing and reproduction fee. Please use the order form below.

Please note: We can provide you with digital copies of all works that you research under Collection Online. Unfortunately, we are unable to take new images, as the Kunsthalle zu Kiel is closed for renovation and the collection is not accessible to Kunsthalle staff until the end of 2028.

Terms of use:

We charge a processing and reproduction fee, which may vary depending on the purpose of use. 

Please send us a copy of your publication for our library.

The copyright regulations must be observed for all images on loan from the Kunsthalle zu Kiel; the borrower is liable for compliance. Permission to print must be obtained from the copyright owner or from the collecting society (e.g., VG Bild-Kunst Bonn). 

Please indicate the copyright with the name of the photographer, which must be clearly assigned to the work. 

Photographic material provided by the Kunsthalle zu Kiel may be used once within the framework of the specified project and must be deleted after use. The Kunsthalle must receive written confirmation of the deletion of data no later than the publication date.

The image must not be cropped or overlaid by lettering or other elements. Colour chart and frames are excluded from this regulation.

By submitting the order form, you acknowledge our conditions.

You will receive a confirmation of receipt from us stating the fees due. Your order becomes binding only after you have confirmed the email.

Data protection information
We use your contact information to process your request, for internal and, if necessary, legally required documentation. Data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary to carry out your request or if we are legally obliged to do so.
